All of the Junkyard Dogs & Cats are bare metal and naturally rust with age -- that's their beauty. As I say, "They rust, but they'll never run away." Since they are made from recycled materials each critter is slightly imperfect, but lovable all the same. When using the Junkyard Dog and Cat planters indoors, they may be treated with a clear acrylic enamel spray to inhibit rust if desired.
